Endoscopic Spine Surgery Techniques for Cervical Decompression
Behind the CESSYS® product family is a concept for fully comprehensive, minimally invasive decompression and deherniation of the cervical spinal canal.
CESSYS® Dorsal for the posterior approach is excellent for dorsal pathologies and bony decompression cases. CESSYS® Ventral on the contrary, uses an anterior, intradiscal approach. Due to the particularly small endoscope and fine instruments, the ventral system represents the optimal tool for the treatment of small and soft disc herniations in the ventral spinal canal.
Together, the two CESSYS® methods allow decompression of nearly 360° of the cervical spinal canal under best visibility – with the endoscope directly at the site of action.
CESSYS® Dorsal
The CESSYS® Dorsal Method is a fully endoscopic, minimally invasive surgical procedure that uses posterior access to the cervical spinal canal to remove herniated discs or to treat bony stenosis.

CESSYS® Ventral
The CESSYS® Ventral procedure allows minimally invasive therapy of cervical disc herniations. It is suitable for patients without existing cervical, segmental instabilities and central stenoses.

- Ventral foraminal osteophytes and stenoses
