Facet Joint Denervation

The endoscopic approach to the facet joints or sacroiliac joints is a true minimally invasive method. The endoscope provides bright and sharp images so that the doctor can gain an overview and treat the cause of the pain directly.

Selected Indications

If the joints become irritated, the pain is transmitted to the brain as back pain. This so-called “facet syndrome” belongs to wear-related (“degenerative”) spinal diseases.

In addition to wear and tear and increasing age, the causes of painful facet joints can also be overload and incorrect positioning, overweight in combination with incorrect posture, genetic disorder, general lack of movement, or an accident with whiplash.

The joimax® Approach

Using the joimax® technique, the doctor can resect the nerve fibers transmitting the pain directly at the origin pain. As a result of this precise endoscopic procedure, most patients feel a significant relief of symptoms or are free of pain right after surgery.

If necessary, this endoscopic procedure can be repeated easily.
