CESSYS® Dorsal –
Special instruments for cervical decompression
The access and resection instruments were optimized in diameter and length for decompression within the cervical spinal canal via the posterior approach.
The 4.7 mm working channel diameter of the LaminoscopeTM allows the use of Shrill Shaver Blades with 4.5 mm outer diameter for effective removal of hard tissue like bone or hypertrophic or sclerotized ligamentum flavum, forceps or Endo-Kerrison punches. Otherwise it ensures the endoscope is still small enough to be ideally suited for working within the cervical spinal canal.
For a perfect view: joimax® Full HD Laminoscope®
With a working channel of 4.7 mm the CESSYS® Dorsal Endoscope allows the use of large punches, forceps and Shrill® Shaver Blades for the effective removal of hard tissue such as bone or hypertrophic, sclerotic ligamentum flavum. At the same time, the endoscope is still “small enough” to work perfectly within the spinal channel.
This makes the system particularly suitable for bony decompression (stenoses). The working length of 68 mm and the viewing direction of 15° are excellent for dorsal access in the cervical area. Due to the irrigation, the endoscopic view is maintained very well during the entire procedure, even in case of bleeding.

CESSYS® Dorsal forceps and Endo-Kerrisons – Effective and Strong
The forceps are equipped with the patented “Luer Overload Protection System – LOPS”, which prevents overloading of the forceps and thus ensures a long service life. Effective punches for removing tissue, small and large diameter, also angled and semi-flexible.
The Endo-Kerrison Punches are used to remove bone, capsule tissue, ligament flavum, etc. under Endoscopic view. The shaft is interchangeable and available in different versions.
The outer diameter is 3.0 mm – 4.0 mm, with 1.5, 3.0 and 4.0 mm footprints (45° each). The orientation of the claw is variable by rotation of the shaft.
Vaporflex® bipolar RF/HF Probe
With the Vaporflex® bipolar RF/HF probe tissues (e.g. scars) can be removed, and bleeding stopped. Anulus ruptures of up to 3 mm in length can be easily closed by tissue shrinkage. The ergonomic handles are reusable and are used with the bipolar disposable probe.
Shaver Blades for extensive decompression
To comprehensively remove bony structures under endoscopic view, vour Shrill® Shaver Blades with outer diameters of 4.5 mm are available: Bone Resector, Ball-Tip; Bone Resector, Bullet-Tip; Diamond Abrasor, Ball-Tip and Diamond Abrasor, Ball-Tip Coarse.
