Karlsruhe, Germany – December 8^th, 2016 – from Dec 1^st to 3^rd, 2016 the most important German spine congress has taken place at the Hannover Congress Centre. joimax^® as global acting German developer and marketer of technologies and training methods for endoscopic minimally invasive spinal surgery again exhibited at the 11^th congress of the German Spine Society (DWG). The congress attracted an increasing number of attendees who gathered for the latest news on spinal surgery as well as to learn about the techniques and results of endoscopic spine surgery and the benefits of these techniques for both the surgeon and their patients.

joimax^® presented its complete product range including the newly launched MultiZYTE^® RT (e.g. for rhizotomy) as well as MultiZYTE^® SI for Sacroiliac Joint therapy and the Intracs^® Interaoperative Navigation Tracking & Control System. With Intracs^®, a fully endoscopic integrated electromagnetic based system, the joimax^® instruments can be navigated directly at the tip which allows tracking of instruments with a diameter in the 1mm range. In the course of the congress joimax^® also held two well attended lunch symposia covering the whole scope of surgical indications and also the field of pain therapy up to decompression. Furthermore joimax^® offered daily “Meet the Expert”-Sessions at its booth where spine surgeons were given the possibility to participate on the extensive experience of well-known German spine specialists.

Lately in October 2016 joimax^®, together with the Paracelsus Medical University (PMU), had the honor of conferring him with the Parviz Kambin Award for his excellence in endoscopic spinal surgery. This event took place during the CME-certified workshop course held at the PMU in Salzburg, Austria. The Award is presented to pioneers in the field of endoscopic minimally invasive spine surgery, to which group of Awardees Alastair Gibson was elected there.

Intracs^{® em} Electromagnetic Navigation System

Intracs^{® em} relies on electromagnetic tracking and is specifically designed for simple and safe access to any spinal target. For exceptional accuracy, the instruments are vector-guided directly at the tip; therefore, bending of needles or other pliant instruments will not affect the navigation’s precision. The new smart and user-friendly system can serve as a stand-alone device, or be completely integrated with the joimax^® Endoscopic Tower. It is the only system on the market which allows for simultaneous navigation of multiple instruments such as needles, guiding rods, reamers, and endoscopes; developed by joimax^®.

The full European product launch is scheduled for Q4 2018. The global launch, including the United States, will be rolled out in the beginning of 2019.

joimax^® will be exhibiting at EUROSPINE 2018 and NASS 2018.

The company attributes strong growth to their popular workshop and educational program, which is now offered worldwide under the ESPINEA^® training academy. To keep momentum, joimax^® is releasing the TESSYS^® TransSAP — the fourth addition to the TESSYS^® family encompassing the standard TESSYS^® Std, TESSYS^® XT featuring longer reach instruments, and TESSYS^® Thx, the optimized version for the thoracic spine.

The system is based on the proven TESSYS^® method introduced in 2004. Since then, the technology has been enhanced and can be used for more complex indications, widening the spectrum of disease and vertebral level applications.

For years, joimax^® has been working with the Korean Wooridul group, the world’s largest Specialized Spine Hospital Network. In a series of four courses, provided in basic and advanced level, the education of international spine surgeons is ensured.
