Dr. med. Carl Hans Fuerstenberg completed his medicine studies in Mannheim and Heidelberg. Work experience was gained at the RWTH University Hospital in Aachen, the Orthopaedic University Hospital in Cologne, the Clinic for Orthopaedic Surgery in Lorsch, and the Orthopaedic University Clinic in Heidelberg. An orthopaedic specialist in Heidelberg since 2006, Dr. Fürstenberg has specialised in spinal surgery and the treatment of paraplegia.
Amongst his main research topics is the use of minimally invasive operation techniques in spinal surgery. Since 2008 he has held the position of Head Senior Physician and Deputy Orthopaedic Clinic Director in the Orthopaedic University Clinic Heidelberg. He has been a member of the joimax® Faculty Team since 2009, where he is also involved in various clinical studies.
