Clinical Studies

Several studies already exist regarding minimally invasive surgery which confirm good outcomes.

An example is the abstract/report entitled "Transforaminal Endoscopic Surgery - Technique and Provisional Results in Primary Disc Herniation" by Dr. Menno Iprenburg, one of our reference doctors (complete study can be found below). Between August 2004 and August 2007, 176 patients (73 female and 103 male) were operated on with the TESSYS® method in the Wilhelmina Hospital in Assen, Netherlands and the Spine Clinic Iprenburg in Heerenveen, Netherlands. The average patient age was 45 years, and the cases were positioned as follows: L3-L4: 8 patients, L4-L5: 63 patients, L5-S1: 78 patients. The results were compared with official figures on microscopic surgery from the Swedish National Register – with positive results (for example, patient satisfaction was 75% with microscopic surgeries, and 79% with surgeries using the TESSYS® method).
